Specifications

Cars – Compact only, maximum wheel base 103 inches or tube frames.  No front wheel drive or rear engine cars.

Engines – 4 cylinder only.  Headwork is optional. Cams are optional.  Two valves per cylinder maximum.

Starter – required

Transmission -  must have three (3) or four (4) forward gears and reverse.  Can be automatic.

Engines & transmission – must be in the factory position.

Exhaust – optional

Flywheel – optional (aluminum or cast iron)

Carburetor – any two (2) barrel carburetor allowed

Fuel – pump gasoline only

Radiator – must be in factory position (in front of motor)

Roll bars – are mandatory, minimum of one over driver’s head.  Nose bar around engine to support sub-frame is permitted.

Seat – must be positioned in front of the rear door post.

Seat belts – racing type seat belts and shoulder harness are mandatory

Fenders – must have fenders.  Roll sharp edges under on front only.  NO OPEN WHEELS.

Doors – must be strapped, chained, or welded shut.

Tires – no mud or snow tires. Not studded tires.  Racing rubber or a 60 series tire will be permitted

Wheels – optional,  No wheel weights

Battery – the battery must be securely fastened and covered.

Shocks – optional, one per wheel.  Weight jacks are legal.

Rear ends – must stay in stock position. Gear ratio optional.

Fuel tank – must be securely fastened in trunk of car.

Bumpers – must be either tube or pipe.  The bumper must be tied into frame.  Fenders and quarter panels must be tied or secured into the bumper.  No sharp edges.  THIS RULE IS MANDATORY,  YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RUN IF THE BUMPERS ARE NOT TIED INTO FRAME.

Numbers – must be minimum of twelve (12) inched high and in a contrasting color from the car.  Keep ease of scoring in mind when choosing numbers.
