AGE REQUIREMENT

Drivers must be a minimum of 14 years old with no exceptions.  Certified copy of birth certificate is required.  At his sole discretion, the Race Track Promoter has the authority to permit an underage driver to participate in this class. 

FUEL

All A Class cars must run Nationally approved fuels.  Spec upper end lube is Sunoco Alky Racing Fuel additive – 7.5 ounces or Klotz Uplon KL107. 

WEIGHT

4 cylinder 600cc powered cars; minimum car and driver weight is 750 lbs.  Any material used for ballast must be firmly attached as a part of the car’s structure.  No liquid or loose ballast such as water, fuel, oil, sandbags, rocks, logs, chains etc. allowed.

TIRES AND WHEELS

Any wheel size and tire combination may be used, but tires may not exceed 22½ inches in height.  Right rear tire must be a minimum 50-durometer compound Hoosier or American Racer tire.  Sipping and grooving are allowed. Air bleaders are allowed.

WINGS

Cars must run a 10 square-foot fixed wing positioned no further back than the back of the roll cage.  No cockpit adjustable wings allowed.  No split or multi-staged nose or top wings allowed.  Wing center section has to be one piece.

ENGINE RULES

4 cylinder 600 cc stock engines.  Stock engines as the motor was run on the motorcycle from the factory with the charging unit.  Any air cleaner will be allowed. Carburetors must be the same make and model as the motor.  Factory injection allowed on gasoline powered cars only. Stock Power Commander is allowed on injection but no external adjustments will be allowed. Carbs may have metering rods, jets and springs changed to tune the fuel curve to match the car requirements. Allow only 1 OEM black box with manufacturer’s part number to be used on that make. Any type of box that has an external adjustment is considered illegal.  Boxes allowed include STOCK black box style Honda “HRC” version or “Yamaha Racing” versions.  No aftermarket CDI’s (ignition black boxes) allowed. Aftermarket timing advancers are illegal.  Internal charging systems components must remain in the motor.  Any sprocket (520 or 530) will be allowed.  2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 methanol powered engines are allowed on carburetion only. Stock or billet boots are allowed. EXCEPTION: NO KAWASAKI 636 AND no 2006 YZFR6V(C) and/or black bottom motors allowed.  No current production (2007) motors allowed.

NOTE: Cars, parts, components, and/or equipment will not be considered as having been approved by reason of having passed through inspection at any time or any number of times unobserved or undetected.

Unless these specs say you can do something, you cannot.
