Bladders

Bladders at Dutton's Speedway are NOT mandatory for the 2009 racing season.

If you race with the ASCS2 cars at Dutton's Speedway you MUST have a bladder.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To our drivers and their families:

Your safety and the safety of your family and friends are our utmost concern. Even before the incident at I-44 we had ordered more fire extinguishers and have mounted fire extinguishers on each of the 4 wheelers in the infield. We have purchased 3 fire extinguishers for applying foam and we have purchased 3 new 20lb ABC fire extinguishers. When an accident happens  a four wheeler with a trailer carrying the 3 foam applicators and the three 20lb. fire extinguishers goes to the wreck. There  are three 10lb fire extinguishers setting around the track.  All track help will be trained in how to get drivers out of their cars (releasing belts, arm restraints, etc.).

We are also asking that you as drivers and pit crews be proactive in your safety as well.

1. A bar around the carburetor/motor to protect the carbs from being knocked off in an accident.
2. A fire suit, gloves, shoes, helmet, etc. with adequate fire protection (including in good repair).
3. A master switch mounted in the same location on all cars (probably on the right side) that shuts down all electronics (fuel, ignition, etc.)
4. A fire extinguisher mounted on the car as well as extinguishers in your trailer or pit area that is easily accessible.

We are not saying that if you do not have any of the above you will not be able to race (unless the bladder becomes mandatory). We just want you to be aware of some safety precautions that you could also do.

We are looking forward to a fun and safe racing season. See you at the races!
